Hair part

hey all! I have medium/long 2b/2c hair. Medium porosity & Density and Fine texture.

I’ve been on the CG journey for almost 10 years now but I am finally fed up with never knowing how to part my hair! For all of this time I’ve never felt like my part has done justice to my hair. It’s almost like no matter what my hair doesn’t seem to sit on the top of my head right. I’ll be going in to see my stylist for a cut next week and I’m wondering if anyone has experience styling their hair to solve this issue. Thanks!

p.s, I have a widows peak, which makes parting even more fun!

Hm.  I don't really even part mine. It just kinda goes. LOL. I'll be interested to hear what your stylist recommends.

ditto Gretchen. I don't like a straight part and just let it kind of part itself wherever it wants. Sometimes I don't have a part at all.

I also have a widow's peak, and I've found that having bangs makes things a lot easier. I always thought I had a bunch of cowlicks because of my widow's peak, but they turned out to be waves that sit nicely when they're cut into bangs. If you like the look of wavy bangs, maybe give them a shot! If you don't like them, there's always bobby pins and headbands.

My mother trained my hair have a super straight, down the middle part. Its really hard for me to change it, and it brings itself back every time I shower. I'm jealous of you ladies who don't have a part.

I too have a widow's peak and struggle with where to part my hair. I also have a high forehead. I've been thinking about bangs (thanks for the info, @hmr1016), but I am not sure I want to deal with the upkeep of bangs.

I always part my hair before I put in products. I sometimes let it fall where it wants. Let us know if your stylist has any words of wisdom.
