Lipgloss

When ever I buy/try a lipgloss it always make my mouth look a lot darker than it is? Is it the shine that does this, or is the colour too dark (though I always buy light ones)?

So clueless about these things.

what's your underlying lip colour, sweetie?

i have naturally dark rose lips, think MAC lipglass in Lust. to get a neutral or light lipglass to look the colour it should, i put foundation on my lips first.

Kind of a medium pink colour. I looked on MACs website I think I'm nearer their lipstick shade called Fresco, in lipglass shades more like Revealing or Entice. Definately more of a red pink than a blue pink though.

i put foundation on my lips, then powder lightly and put a nude lip pencil over it - MAC's Stripdown or Cedar [i also have Test Pattern, but it's been discontinued]. i used to use Bonne Belle Biscotti, but that was discontinued too.

then i put on the lipglass.

    hth!

It works! Yay! Thanks Rou! :D

Just 2 more questions; I figured out that I have warm skin tones, should I stick to colours that are more in the orange colour range or can I use ones in the bluer range of colours?

Do I ever need to blot?

i'm warm too and the orange/yellow range looks best on me.

you can wear some cooler colours, but you really have to try them to find the ones that suit you best. a grey blue would be better than a true blue or purple-ish one.

blotting is up to you. i like matte, but that's me. :D
