Will using a curling iron diminish the effects of my Brazilian Blowout?

Just got a BB two weeks ago and I'm happy with the results! After washing, my hair is pretty much straight just air dried. However, I'd like to do a lose/wave curl look using a curling iron to add body. Will using heat and curling my hair reduce the effectiveness or lifetime of the BB?

I don't know anything about brazilian blowouts, but I wanted to say Welcome to Curl Talk!  Hopefully someone else will come along with an answer for you.

If it was a permanent straightening, no but beware that your hair does have a breaking point and permanent straightening is damaging. If it was temporary, possibly. This is all speculation as these straightening systems aren't my forte. When in doubt, call your salon and ask.
