How to protect bleached/colored hair during Sun/Sea/Pool vacation?

I have 2c/3a long hair and I know my dark-brown-bleached-platinum-then-died-silver-purple-ombre hair will suffer in the hands of ocean and chlorine.  I'll have an Olaplex treatment before and after, and I know the lilac tone will disappear and have to be redone. I'll also wear a hat all the time as much as I can remember. What else can I do to protect it?
2C/3A long hair with some 3C thrown in
High Porosity, dense, coarse hair
I make my own protein masks

    If you are swimming, you could apply coconut oil to the ends and braid it or wet your hair and apply deep condition and braid it. This will keep your hair from absorbing too much bad water. I have bleached hair and am in the sun a lot but I've never noticed a negative side effect on my hair. My skin on the other hand...
