Refreshing wavy hair mid-day?

Athena6173Athena6173 Registered Users Posts: 6 Curl Neophyte
I see lots of posts about refreshing 2nd day waves, but nothing about giving my hair the attention it needs during the day, the afternoon, or while I'm at work. Any methods or product recommendations? Sometimes my hair gets tangled later in the day or looks like it needs to be "fluffed."

Thanks!

I just give my hair a fluff, or finger comb the tangles out when needed. When I do either of those, I use my fingers on the underside of my hair so I don’t end up with frizz on the outer surface of my hair.   Sometimes I’ll flip my head upside down and give the roots a little shake too.

I'll be watching this thread for ideas. I too sometimes feel the need for a midday refresh, but whatever I try usually doesn't turn out very well. I've tried using a sea salt spray, but that usually is too heavy and ruins my chances at second-day hair.

If my hair gets to that point it is time for a pony holder.  It goes into a pony or a bun.

@Guide 65, I do that sometimes too. I do get frizz and my waves loosen, so I'll try just doing the underside.

@Therese1 I always think a sea salt spray would work well on my hair. I've heard they can be drying. Do you know if any are curly girl friendly? I'm trying my own version of CG with good results so far.

@WavyKfromNJ I have to laugh. That's usually where I end up at the end of the day too!

I've tried a few sea-salt-type sprays, and the most moisturizing one I've found is the one from Sevi.
