How to improve the definition of my curls ?

socurlssocurls Registered Users, Curl Ambassador Posts: 204 Curl Connoisseur

I do not know what to do !

There are days where my hair is perfect and I do not know why  :D (but it's very rare unfortunately) and days .. full of frizz ..

Do you have recommendations ?

Some products ?

I only use aloe vera gel and homemade flaxseed gel after my gentle shampoo and conditioner..

Thank you !

Very pretty!  You might want to try a gel with hold.  You can still use the aloe and flaxseed gels, and just put a light hold gel on top.

Most of the time after two or three hours outside ( or even one day ) it's just frizz...
A Gel with hold ? Do you have recommendations on certain brands or products?
    Thank you very much !

It might be the aloe that is causing the problem. When I use aloe, my hair gets a soft frizz all over, and the curls don't hold. Maybe try not using aloe and seeing if that improves things?

From what I can see, yes, your hair looks like it falls in the fine category.

Take a strand and roll it between your index and thumb, do this with every finger and all around your head at least one strand. If you can feel it, you either have medium or coarse hair, if you can’t feel anything no matter where on your head, you have fine hair. If you want to see if it’s coarse or medium, when you roll it, if you feel the roll it’s coatse. But if you feel the strand and do not feel a roll necessarily, then it is medium.

You may need light products but coupled with a gel to ensure a good hold.

that would depend, coarseness isn't a bad thing, neither is fine or medium. If you have coarse, your hair is strong and naturally more resistant to styling with chemical treatments, only downside is, depending on the porosity, you would need a little more product than average XD.

But that also plays into your hair desnity too!
