Using sulfate or non sulfate shampoo is a choice. I use sulfate shampoo every time I wash my hair (once to twice a week). It is what works for me. Some people only use a sulfate shampoo to clarify their hair. So they may use it when their hair is dull or there is product build up.

I use a sulfate poo once every 2-3 weeks.

The reason people say not to use it too often is because it can dry out your hair. So if you get better results with a sulfate, by all means use it, but keep an eye on your hair's moisture levels. If you start finding that your hair is dry, you could compensate by doing deep conditioning treatments, or else cut back to using the sulfate less.

Many people find they need to use a sulfate shampoo once in a while to get rid of build up.

I need to clarify my hair weekly. For a long time I didn't use sulfate shampoos at all but then I found one that works well for me when diluted.. VO5 Clarifying Shampoo. It also works well on for my scalp. But it's the only one I'll use. I've tried others and they made my hair into tangled straw.

I personally use one once a month to clear product buildup. I immediately follow up with my most moisturizing deep conditioner. I suffer no side effects from this monthly ritual.

I use Suave daily claifying shampoo once a month. I love it...it has sulfate in it. I read an article on NaturallyCurly about it and decided to try it. It is PH balanced too. I shampoo once with it and once with my Eluence moisture shampoo which is sulfate free. My hair is very soft and moisturized.

I'm not using this shampoo right now. It cleans my hair and scalp great but I henna my grays. I noticed my henna was fading faster. I looked up reviews and found out it's not color friendly. Since I stopped using it my henna color definitely lasts longer. If you don't color then go for it.

The Creme of Nature Ultra Moisturizing Shampoo is LIFE! It's soooo goood! I've never found a shampoo that actually feel slippery when washing my hair. I use it weekly or bi-weekly depending on....life in general lol.
