Ecostyler Gold Review

I couldn't find this gel locally but did while visiting some family out of town. I was torn on what size container to buy but decided on the larger one. It was $7. Anyway the first time I tried it I used the leave in I normally use with Ecostyler gel and never has been a problem unless I use too much. It was a disaster. I had white stuff. My hair felt greasy although I didn't add any oil other than what is in the gel. My hair also felt kind of limp. I had no choice but to shampoo my hair a second straight day to get it out. I was starting to think I'd wasted my money.

So the next day I decided to use the Argon oil Eco on one section with my leave in and normal routine and use the Gold Eco by itself in another section. I was pleasantly surprised that both section came out well. I have seen some people in reviews skipping the leave in for the Gold but I blew that off because that have NEVER worked for my hair. However, I think Gold might be the first product ever that I can use as a one stop shop. If anyone tries it I recommend to try it alone first. Also I think the reason my hair was greasy was there is a small of amount of oil in my leave in and combined with the JBCO, Olive, Sheabutter and Flax in this Eco it is just too much oil for my fine low porosity hair. I can't use grease or butters for that reason. IMO it doesn't have a very strong hold but I like that it doesn't because I prefer big hair. My hair has been bomb the last few days.

I can’t tell the difference in the Gold from the Flaxseed when I used them in my daughter hair but I love the Flaxseed Eco so I’m not complaining.

    Update:

I'm not using this gel anymore because it only works well for me on freshly shampooed hair.
