I think my low porosity hair likes coconut oil? Is that possible?

So I've heard that coconut oil is a heavy oil so ergo bad for low porosity hair, but I use coconut products (coconut and hibiscus curl& style milk, eden bodyworks curl creme, & sm's coconut hair mask) Is my hait not really low porosity? I mean it has all the signs- float test, takes a while tk get wet and forever to dry, and I experience product build-up if I'm not careful. With the styling products I have to only use a little or my hair looks greast, but it looks really good when I don't use too much. Am I actually normal porosity maybe? Or just a low porosity who happens to like coconut oil? I'm thinking of trying straight coconut oil as a deep conditioner but I'm not sure how it will react. Anybody out there like me who could give me some advice?

I don't have hair like yours, but coconut oil is a penetrating oil, so it might not cause as much of a problem for low-po hair. Hair is very individual. If you want to know scientifically how porous your hair is, I would suggest getting a hair analysis from Wendy at the Science-y Hair Blog: https://goosefootprints.com
