Emojis?

curlypearlcurlypearl Posts: 12,089Registered Users Curl Connoisseur
Where are all the cute emojis that we had in the earlier version of curl talk?  Gone? I see the smiley face above this post but I used to love those interesting fun emojis.
2/c Coarse hair med. density.
Highly porous. Color over grey.
I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....
Every day is a gift :flower:

This new software doesn't have as many, but I will ask if we can get more somehow.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿพโ€๐ŸŒพ You can have whatever emoji you want if you hit the windows button and the period at the same time on windows 10. It opens up an emoji window. ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿฑโ€๐Ÿš€

Clicking period/windows didn't work for me but if I click the touch keyboard icon there is a smiley button to click for emojis. ๐Ÿ•โ˜ฎ๐Ÿ‘

I'll have to try the touch keyboard one out when I get to work tomorrow. My laptop there has the option. I think Mac users get the same thing by pressing "Command - Control - Spacebar." My husband isn't on his computer or else I'd give it a try. ๐Ÿ’ป

Not all of the keyboard emojis work on curltalk - some of the ones posted upthread show a box with an X. In addition, many of the missing emojis are ones that communicate efficiently things that are needed on a forum, like actual emotions (confused, etc). And every time I saw someone use the afro emoji, it lifted my heart even if I didn't know if it was appropriate for me to use it myself (not having Type 4 hair.) Seriously, how can nc.com exist without the afro emoji?

Now, I realize there is a whole new language that uses keyboard emojis, but I don't understand it. Actually, a user recently posted in that language and while I understand what she said from context, I still have no idea how the emoji she used said it. Maybe i will get kicked off the internet for not learning it some day in the near future. But in the mean time, it would be nice to have the classic emojis that communicate emotions that are often difficult to communicate over the internet.
