Why are my twist so flat??

I know I ask a lot of questions but this hair is kind of complicated.

I recently tried to air dry my hair whilst pulled back into a low Bantu knot with cantu leave in repair and ecostyler.

This is the hair after it completely dried.

Suprisingly today I was able to finger combed it out and put individual twist on the dry hair with no additional products but the twist flattened my hair.

These are the twist.

Is it because my hair is thin/low-med density(?), possibly a mix of fine and coarse or limp and flat because it may need some product? Hmmm or is the products I used days before possibly weighing my hair down maybe??

It really depends on your hair type. If your curls are really loose and wavy, then you might just have to use products that really define them. Also, when you do them, make sure your hair is wet to get the best definition.
