Co wash problem

SavagegirlSavagegirl Posts: 321Registered Users Curl Connoisseur
Hi! One would think that cowashing would be beneficial for everyone in a dry winter climate. I do not do it in the summer. I don't need it,  I need to clarify more due to environment. However, in the winter, no matter which cowash i use, I get an itchy scalp and my hair feels gross. Can anyone recommend a good cowash that has wee bit of protein in it? I'm thinking that may help.

Any other suggestions welcome.

I have not had luck with co-washing until yesterday. I was gifted a bottle of Nicole Naturals Niloctica Shea and Cleansing Conditioner and it is the first product not to weigh down my hair. @jeepcurlygurl has used it also and she liked it.  The problem is that it seems to have disappeared from their website. I am wondering if one of their other products will work for you @Savagegirl?

This bottle will last a long time because I alternate co-wash with my  Creme of Nature Coconut Milk Detangling and Conditioning Shampoo which my hair loves. I will definitely research their other products once this bottle is used up.

I am still learning to read the labels of products and identify proteins, etc. but the co-wash does list Silk Protein on the ingredient list.

The Kerastase one does. My hair goes really curly with it but I can't use too much protein or I get very frizzy so I don't use it anymore.

I'm in the UK, everything is so much more expensive here than in the US.

@savagegirl, sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you. The Oribe product (Cleansing Creme for Moisture and Control) does have protein. Here is the ingredients list. I've bolded the proteins (some of the extracts might have protein in them as well). My hair is normally quite protein sensitive, but I can use this cleanser every now and then.
