How do I moisturize my coarse hair?

I have coarse, low porosity, curly hair (3b to like 4a if you like hair typing).  It's difficult to moisturize my hair because having coarse strands I need a lot of moisture and my hair needs a lot of product to be defined but on the other hand I have low porosity hair so it is hard to satisfy the coarse/tight curl aspect of my hair without it feeling gross from all of the products.  Anyone who has struggled with VERY dry coarse hair in the past please help!

This article on the Sciency Hair Blog really helped me. She gives alternatives for fine v. medium v. coarse throughout. Might have some ideas you haven't tried...

Low-poo: Alaffia Coffee & Shea Revitalizing Shampoo for Fine/Thin Hair (summer), Alaffia Coconut & Shea Hydrating Shampoo
    Clarify: Kinky Curly Come Clean
Rinse-out: Alaffia Coffee & Shea Revitalizing Conditioner for Fine/Thin Hair (summer), Alaffia Everyday Coconut Ultra Hydrating Conditioner
DT: Camille Rose Naturals Algae Renew Deep Conditioner
    Leave-in: As I Am Leave-in
Styler: Lily of the Desert 99% Aloe Vera Gelly
Treatment: Daily tea spray; Coconut oil overnight treatment; Citric acid rinse for hard water; 2-step Henndigo w/ amla to cover gray

2C, fine, low porosity, low/medium density, protein sensitive

Hi! I have similiar hair except that my curl pattern is a little looser(3A/3B). For me, a good leave in conditioner is paramount. I'm liking Ouidad Curl Quencher Moisturizing Conditioner. It's not a leave-in, but I use it that way and it helps my hair feel like hair, not straw. I need a lot of product to define my curl too, and right now I'm using a cocktail of CurlKeeper, DevaCurl UltraDefining Gel, and touching up with Ouidad Curl Quencher Moisturizing Gel. It sounds like a lot but it's working pretty well for me now. Let me know if you try any of these and if they work for you!
Hair type 3A/3B- very course, high density, low porosity
    Current CG products:
DevaCurl Low Poo Shampoo;  Curl Quencher Moisturizing Conditioner; Cocktail of Curl Keeper and DevaCurl Ulta Defining Gel; and Curl Quencher Moisturizing Gel
