Myrna, I think it is now referred to as your Profile Photo. When I uploaded my Profile Photo it became my Avatar. I am so new to forums in general and not very savvy, so I am hoping this helps you out.

Click on your username and then click on "Edit My Account."  When you get to your account page scroll to the very bottom. You will see where to add your profile photo.

    Type: 2c
    Density: medium
    Porosity: high
    Thickness: fine

I uploaded a profile pic and it shows if I click "See My Public Profile" but it does not show up in posts. Sigh.

ETA: I also can't access my signature - I can't even find a way to get at it!
2c, coarse, low elasticity, medium/high density; varied porosity, protein- and coconut-sensitive
CJ Daily Fix and Smoothing Conditioner; then Beauticurls and Pattern Pusha
For a deeper clean once a week, Trader Joe's Tea Tree Tingle shampoo and conditioner

There are definitely issues with some of the editing and profile buttons. Some days they work, some days they don't. I haven't been able to change my avatar since they re-did the forums last month. I'm sure they will get it figured out at some point. I was able to get to my signature today. I clicked the Gear icon, clicked preferences, then at the right clicked Signature Settings. I tried making the font larger in the sig but it's either tiny or gigantic, no in between.

Today the Edit My Profile and View My Public Profile buttons work when I click on my name. I was able to upload a new profile picture and it shows on the edit page and public profile page but doesn't show up as my avatar.

My new profile pic (which shows up on my profile page) still doesn't show up as my avatar. But I've noticed a few new members who have made new profile pics that do show up as their avatar. ?

It seems to be connected to more long-time users. The guys are working on it.
