There is no single "best" product for anyone.  My 2C hair might hate products that other 2C hair loves.  You just have to experiment to find the best things for YOUR hair.

A curly hair stylist that I follow recommends Deva Curl products.  She says it'll work for about 80% of all curlies.  Some may not like the fragrance, some might be allergic or sensitive to certain ingredients, but even so, it's a good line to start with.  At least you'll know every product in the line is CG friendly!

For dry hair, I find that hair oils are a huge lifesaver. I use coconut oil based hair oil for deep conditioning before shampoo, and olive oil as a leave in + styler. Promotes definition too, but be careful with the amount.

I agree with Janiegirl that it depends. In addition, curl type isn't the best determinant of best products - it helps to know the texture (fine/medium/coarse) and porosity to find the best product. There are some guides in the newbie threads that can help you determine those.
Low-poo: Alaffia Coffee & Shea Revitalizing Shampoo for Fine/Thin Hair (summer), Alaffia Coconut & Shea Hydrating Shampoo
    Clarify: Kinky Curly Come Clean
Rinse-out: Alaffia Coffee & Shea Revitalizing Conditioner for Fine/Thin Hair (summer), Alaffia Everyday Coconut Ultra Hydrating Conditioner
DT: Camille Rose Naturals Algae Renew Deep Conditioner
    Leave-in: As I Am Leave-in
Styler: Lily of the Desert 99% Aloe Vera Gelly
Treatment: Daily tea spray; Coconut oil overnight treatment; Citric acid rinse for hard water; 2-step Henndigo w/ amla to cover gray

2C, fine, low porosity, low/medium density, protein sensitive
