IM SO HAPPY!!!!!! After 20 years of hating my hair and wanting to fit into white society and its norms I'm FREE!! I love myself and I love my hair, I just feel so much love right now thank you to the people and creators of this community I don't know if I would have taken the step to transitioning if it wasn't for this forum! :compress:

    I am a white woman with loose curls and I could just die of jealousy when I see a black woman with NATURAL hair.  Black hair of ALL TYPES is so beautiful!  Good for you for embracing it!!  <3

    Congrats! I just started transitioning about 3 months ago and at first, I wanted to transition and wait until my hair grows down to a good length. Now I'm thinking about just cutting off all my dry damaged relaxed ends and start focusing on my curls. I think I'll wait another 2-3 months until my curls become really pronounced before I do my big chop.
