Multi-textured hair?

It seems that I have multi-textured hair? There are always different patterns in my hair. Can you help me identify them, and what ways I can manage it better? Also, my shrinkage is ridiculous. My hair is about 8 inches combed out, but only around 3 in normal conditions.

    I think many of us have multiple curl patterns.  Some of it may be due to your hair health.  New growth should be healthy (unless you have a medical issue), but environmental factors can damage your hair as it grows.

    For products pick the ones that work for most of your hair, and spot treat as needed.

    Shrinkage is not a issue for me, but there are many articles on NC about it.
