Swimming while Natural?

My LP thick hair hates chlorine! And because of that, I had to slow down my swimming routine from 4-5 hours/day to once or twice a weeks at 2-3 hours per session.

I want to competitively swim again, but I can't do so because the chemicals in pools ruin my hair. I use swim caps, but my hair (because I do wall flips for laps) can still get saturated. How do I protect my hair? How do I manage my hair while swimming daily? How do I prevent chlorine damage?!

I'd love ANY tips.

P.S. I'll be getting box braids pretty shortly so tips on managing long braids while swimming is also nice.
