Argan is a nice light oil that absorbs into the hair shaft, so it's a good choice for conditioning and smoothing flyaways without weighing hair down. Since it absorbs, it's not the best noice for "sealing". If you need a little more oomph to a conditioner or dt, you could add some to 1 application (not an entire bottle as it would upset the preservative and/or cause the product to separate).

Thanks! Don't think I need it for conditioning but smoothing flyaways is good.

Always wanted to try a pre poo oil treatment. Would Argan oil be good for it and how would I do a pre treatment?

Argan would work as a prepoo, though it's not a common one for that purpose (doesn't fully penetrate, unlike the below oils). Science-y Hair Blog recommends coconut, sunflower, avocado, babassu, olive or a blend.

Basic prepoo procedure is to apply some oil to dry hair. Amount needed will differ depending on needs of your hair. More porous? Might need to use more. Morning shower people will often apply before bed the night before. At shower time, wash as usual. Some find they need a shampoo of some sort, while others can cowash the oil out.

Thanks again. Decided to dry it this morning and put a couple drops in my palm and rubbed them together and finger combed through my hair. Made my waves juicy looking. Seems to 'hydrate' a little can't explain it. My hair feels very nice!

How did you score that? I could always use some oil for my hair especially for free.

The woman at Ulta gave it to me as a free sample. It's Shea Moisture Argan oil and it's 100% oil. Working good for me so far.

My problem is that if I go into Ulta, my credit card has a meltdown, but I may have to risk it. Thanks
