Hi! :)

Greetings to all of you natural beauties!
I created an account last year, but now I want to get truly serious about my growing 'fro.
I've technically been natural for about a decade and although my hair was long, it was very heat-damaged; all I ever did was straighten it. It wasn't until late 2015 that I decided to stop straightening my hair and, sporadically, started cutting off my damage. By January 2016, I cut off what I thought was all of my heat damage and that began the first part of my "journey". I was left with around 6 inches (stretched) of hair.
In October 2016, I decided to straighten my hair for the first time in a year just for kicks. Big mistake. Although I was very careful not to damage it again, my hair never looked quite the same to me. I was also going through a lot and I was itching for a change.
So, on November 18th 2016, I shaved my entire head. I was completely re-starting my journey. This time though, instead of starting with 6 inches of hair, I was now starting with 0. I was nothing but excited.
About a week ago, I celebrated being 5 months natural. :occasion7: I now rock a cute coily fro. I'm so excited to see my natural hair grow healthier and bigger and I know that being apart of this community will make it a blast!:compress:
