Lurker introduction

Hi all,
I'm usually a lurker, but I recently have started to transition. I believe I have 3a/3b hair, but with the heat damage I've done, I may have 3b/3c by the end of this. I'm wondering how long everyone waits after transition to be sure the curl won't return before trimming the ends. Also, I'm trying to combat frizz without losing volume if anyone has suggestions. I'll attach some pics so you can see what I'm dealing with.
Thanks!
B

As for helping with frizz, since you are transitioning, I would start with trying to keep your hair moisturized. That should help the frizz. If your hair is very coarse, you may find that you can use a drop or two of oil on your dry hair and that will smooth the frizz down. I would try to find out what your hair's porosity is, because that can help you pinpoint things that might help the hair stay moisturized and therefore cut down on frizz.
