2b/c collar bone length hair - cut help

Hi!

I have hair that falls somewhere inbetween 2b/c. I've had long hair forever and it's always been pretty curly, but in the past year it's gotten to a much more mild wave.

It used to be super thick but now I would consider it moderate. It's mostly waves with some curls here and there. It definitely gets frizzy and I have the straight layer underneath that a bunch of us have.

I've always been afraid of shorter hairstyles because I don't want too much volume in my curls bc I have a round face.

Has anyone with 2b/c hair cut their hair from very long to about collarbone length? Do the waves spring up into curls or does it get super frizzy? I really want to change up my hair for the first time, but I'm quite nervous.

Please feel free to share pictures!! Especially before/after ones.

I have 2a/2b hair, very fine, average density. I think you will be fine cutting to collarbone length. Like sophienine, I used to have a chin-length bob and then grew it out. My hair is now a couple of inches past my collarbone. I too found that once my hair got to near my shoulders, it was pretty predictable.

I actually find that if my hair is cut too short, I have less curl, not more. I seem to have more curl the longer my hair gets. I would give it a try.
