I am currently using it. I wasn't wowed with the first use, but find I am getting better results each time I use it. It pairs well with different leave-ins and oils. I am getting more defined waves, especially nearer the roots. It is a light hold, which one would expect from a cream. It doesn't weigh my hair down. I have scrunch in a little gel on days I want a little more hold. The bottle does last awhile as you need about a nickel sized amount for collar bone length hair. I do really like the smell and wished it lingered more. Definitely will purchase it again.

oh boy! you've woken up the PJ in me! I was just looking at this on the website of my local beauty supply. I'm going in for Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls but I really was looking hard at this too.

Wonder what all I will come out with?

I'm resurrecting this old thread because I just bought Deva Wavemaker. I haven't tried it yet. Has anyone else tried it in the meantime? Experiences?

I love Wave Maker (I've got low porosity, REALLY fine hair too!), but it did take me a few tries to be happy with the results. I use a light leave-in conditioner straight from the shower and scrunch my hair with a tshirt.. I gently scrunch in Wave Maker when my hair is DAMP. Too wet and you'll have sticky feeling hair all day. The biggest thing whether you air dry or diffuse your hair is to not touch it until it's completely dry. Made that mistake a couple times and ended up with a huge frizzy mess :(

Overall, very happy with this product from Devacurl. It's hard to find wavy/curly products that are light enough for us fine-haired girls.. and the smell is a little strong at first but it fades out quickly (big plus for me!)
2C Fine, long hair, a ton of it. Blonde balayage. East Coast Canadian.

Wash: Live Clean Fresh Water Hydrating Shampoo
Monthly Scalp Cleanse: Baking Soda/Conditioner/Peppermint Essential Oil
CO: Garnier Whole Blends Legendary Olive Conditioner
Styling: Devacurl Volumizing Foam, Devacurl Wave Maker, Garnier Curl Treat Jelly
Refresh Day: Klorane Dry Shampoo with Nettle, Devacurl Supercream
Deep Condition: Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Yogurt Treatment

My whole wash routine is upside-down... detangling, rinsing, applying products, scrunching, diffusing... the bigger the waves, the better!

I bought the DevaCurl Wavy Mini Transformation Kit about two months ago, which includes the Wave Maker. I was none too pleased with the Low Poo Delight and the One Condition Delight, but the Wave Maker is a product that, although much more expensive than what I usually use, I would consider buying a full size of. I use about a dime-sized amount on either side of my head, then a third around the center when my head is flipped upside down. It gives great definition! The only thing is that I need to make sure not to use too much, since it can make my hair look a bit stringy with heavy application.

I wrote a little more about it here in my blog. Hope I can post this since it's not a commercial website :D

I ended up not being happy with Wavemaker. :( It made my hair straighter (loosened the wave a lot), and it seemed to leave a weird coating on my hair that didn't want to come off with shampoo. I am protein sensitive, so that might have something to do with it--sometimes herbal extracts seem to create proteinlike effects on my hair.

I will say that it did give good definition and was very lightweight, though.

Yeah I don’t love the Wave Maker... not sure if it’s the protein or what but it does seem to straighten out my hair a little bit. And I have frizz problems with it. Just picked up some Kinky Curly Curl Custard last night and I like it so much more. I think my hair likes the gel texture better then mousse, and it does a great job of holding moisture in.
