What temp do you flat iron at (if you do)?

I went to a salon and the stylist said he was flat ironing me at 415. My hair is thick but fine. Isn't that too high?

Depends on the health of your hair. I do my ends at 390.

It was fairly healthy overall. But I noticed I'm
Shedding more. I think it started right after the flat ironing. I'm not sure. It could stress too. Time for a Protein DT.

My flat iron is a GHD, so there is no temperature control. But when I use a curling iron, I have to have it at about 380-390 to get decent curl, and I have fine hair. I think that if you just do a protein treatment you should be OK.
