Oil or pomade?

Please recommend a very light oil or very light pomade to add shine and smooth frizz. I am experimenting using very little gel so I don't need to SOTC but I would like something very lightweight as described above.

Do you think I should repost in the 2 section (for lightweight)? Thanks much!

I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....

Grapeseed or sweet almond oil are very light. The only pomade I own is the Aveda anti humectant pomade, and I don't use it much! Not that it's bad or anything.

Perfect! I've actually never tried an oil except olive oil which was much too heavy.

I need anti-humectant right now but I use the Aveda Humectant that you recommended in the winter. The Aveda Anti- isn't c.g. and I'm trying to do that full on.

    Thanks Curls80!

I use olive oil and it works pretty good.

Thanks Macher. I did try olive oil and it seemed rather heavy for my hair at that time, but I might try it again. However, I went ahead and ordered organ oil from Amazon. We'll see.

I do have OOil for cooking. I could try just a bit on a few curls. My hair is looking so great today nothing could ruin it. The dew point is perfect LOL. Once in a blue moon!

You could try shea butter if your hair doesn't mind shea butter. I know that it is considered heavy, but since it is solid at room temperature, it seems not to weigh my hair down as bad. It has a dry feel to it rather than a liquidy one, which makes a difference for me. I use it to SOTC.

Do you use it as a solid, or warm/liquefy it?

Jojoba oil is very light and closely mimics the natural oils on your scalp. I get mine at Trader Joes cheap and I only need a few drops, so a small bottle lasts forever. And, if you don't like it for your hair, I use it as a makeup remover and moisturizer.
