    If you need to use a soap bar in hard water, rinse hair with citric acid or regularly do a chelating treatment like Sally's ION Crystal Clarifying treatment. I used to use soap bars in hard water and the soap scum was so ridiculous. They do not work well in hard water.

    I decided to give up on them. My hair felt like it was breaking when I rinsed and it felt weak.

    I was sad too! I'm still looking for a cleanser that isn't stripping.
    When I got my hair straightened, the shampoo lady recommended giovanni, I tried their tree tea shampoo and their leave in and I didn't care for it. perhaps it was the aloe
