Sleeping with curls?? I'm new to this!

I've just started to embrace my curls and I'm really loving them! But I don't want to have to wake up every morning and have to wet and style my hair! What do I do to my hair to avoid getting kinky curls or frizz?? Thanks!

    hi, and welcome :) .

if you get a pure silk pillowcase, and use a scrunchy without metal parts to gently put hair up, that should help.

I use both a satin sleep cap and a satin pillow. I have to use both, or I won't have a prayer of my curls surviving my restless sleep patterns. It also will depends on your hair's properties. If you happen to have fine hair, and it's also porous, there's a high probability that you will have to apply moisture in the morning, regardless of satin/silk accessories or pineappling. Depending on the dew points, I either have to use a light mist of water, or water + conditioner to rejuvenate the thirsty tresses.
