What Has Your Hair Taught You?

I was thinking about my far I've come throughout my natural hair journey and I started to think about how much I had changed overall because of it.

Going natural was hands down one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I found that I had a lot more confidence than I thought because there's something about going against the grain that brought the pride in who I was out of me.

And as crazy as it seems my hair taught me how to love myself.

What has your hair taught you?

Funny because I just wrote a paper on how I learned to love my hair.
But yes, it has taught me to value my uniqueness and not see it as a curse.
But there are times where I do have to build my confidence back up

    What a beautiful question... :)

My hair has taught me a lot about myself and how I deal with other things in my life (dating, work, children, spirituality, life issues, etc..):

    - I can be unrealistic with my expectations at times
    - Don't overdo or overthink things, less is best
    - A little goes a long way
    - The best way to fix a deep-rooted problem is to fess up to your feelings, be upfront and honest. Then construct a plan to make things right again.
    - The attention I get when copying other people is never as good as when I learn to just be myself

    There's a long list.. but that's a start.
