Flaxseed gel question

Hi!
I am currently using flaxseed gel to style my hair and i have a party on friday and would like to style my hair in a diferent way and will be using heat.
So my question is: can i use heat even if i have already applied flaxseed gel? (Friday will be my second day after washing my hair)

I would guess it should not be a problem. I'd still try to use a heat protector before you do any heat styling.
