3B hair curly crown like rusted metal

Hi !
I believe my hair is similar to the 3B model presented
Currently my hair looks just like that:

As you can see there is a major differences between the crown and the side, a bit of the back is also shown which curls are extreme in comparison.
and thats 3 months ago on my traveling, my dream is to get this hair texture and look again!

On my traveling I never used any shampoo or conditioning to get there, it was simply normal.
help me please!! I really wanna get my old hair style back, the front looks so unhealthy!
