Shampoo and Greasy Hair

I've been mostly CG for the last year or so and have really liked cowashing. Recently though, I was using some products with sulfates so since I'm going full CG again, I tossed them out and then shampooed my hair with a low poo shampoo and then went about my regular routine... This morning I let my hair down and it's SUPER greasy!

Does shampoo make for greasy hair?! Any tips, tricks, thoughts, etc?
2C/3A; very, very thick fine to medium hair; low porosity.

Conditioner: Shea Moisture Tahitian Masque, Aubrey Organics GPB, Shea Moisture

    You said you were using products with sulfates...or do you mean with silicones?

    Yes I did mean silicones. And no I didn't move. I'm actually not sure if I have hard water or not. Could be something to look into tho.

    Just looked it up... It's soft. Or very soft. How does that affect it?

    Most people do better with soft water. Water can affect which products work better in your hair. If your hair is greasy, it could be some 'cone build-up (I find cones make my hair greasy even when shampoo'd out). It could be that that shampoo just isn't for your hair (unless you've used it a lot in the recent past?).

    I'm thinking the shampoo probably isn't good for my hair. :/

    I'm taking it you didn't use low-poo regularly before? If your scalp is used to cowashing, low-pooing might have shocked it into thinking it was being too dried out.

    Oh interesting... No, normally I either cowash or occasionally use a clarifying shampoo. Not sure if I should cowash tonight or just use a clarifying shampoo for a clean slate.

    Hm. Does the clarifying shampoo have sulfates? If the low-poo dried out your scalp more than a sulfatey one, it might be a specific ingredient in the low-poo you reacted badly to.

    It does have sulfates.
