Flaxseed Oil

I have used the flaxseed gel many times and usually works well depending on weather. I know some store gels have the oil in it. But has anyone ever used the oil as part of their routine. I bought
Some at the health food store intending to consume it but now I'm considering mixing in my leave in.

I've been curious about this, too, an almost bought some last time I picked up flaxseed.

I ordered some along with chia seed and a couple other oils and tried it today. I think it's my new favorite sealing oil. I put it on after my leave in, it absorbed really well and left my hair feeling soft. I really like the chia seed oil, too, and mixed it with my prepoo oils. They both feel great on my skin, too.

EDIT: So the flaxseed oil has kind of an earthy / nutty smell. I noticed it when putting it on and considered adding an EO to it, but it wasn't overwhelming so I skipped it. But this morning while fluffing my hair I could smell it again. I'll probably mix in a couple drops of ylang ylang next time I use it. It's not a bad smell but it doesn't really smell that good to me, either. I got mine from Dr. Adorable, so I'm not sure how other brands smell.

My hair is still soft and moisturized. I did try out a bit of Aveda's anti-humectant pomade on my areas that are prone to frizz so I'm not sure how effective the oils is alone on combating frizz, but I have none and even took a hot bath last night.
