High Humidity

Anyone live in humid winters?

I was just in Arizona where the dew points were apparently perfect because my curls were super happy... Not so much now that I'm back in Oregon. Idk if my hair is feeling over moisturized because sometimes I'll tie it back before it's completely dry or if I'm using the wrong products.

I think I might need an anti-humectant. Thoughts?

    Hmmm... That's an interesting idea...

Does the Max Green Alchemy Sculpting Gel and the Mop Top Curly Custard contain humectants?

Mop top is horrid in humid weather. Best gel for me in humid weather is CJ Curl Queen.

Oh! That's good to know! I was wondering about that...

It seems to help when my hair can fully dry (i.e. when I diffuse it at night and then pineapple to sleep).

When I was recently in Cancun and its high dewpoints, I used MGA sculpting gel mixed with jessicurl Spiralicious, OR MGA mixed with BRHG. Both combos gave me really good hair (without any oil sealing) that lasted pretty well! Back in my frigid negative dewpoints home, I have been re-experimenting with oil sealing and the MGA gel. Love that gel! I haven't experimented with Curl Queen in high dews yet but in my low dews I like it... I just haven't perfected my apple cation of curl queen just yet lol.

I'm going to try JUST the Max Green gel and maybe shampooing more than co-washing like I do when it's dry. Has anyone tried the Aveda Anti-Humectant pomade or any of their curl products?

Our dew points just got into the 40's (C) and I skipped conditioner all together (late for lecture!) added some boots curl cream (more than I normally would) and a light gel, although I need a stronger gel. I think the boots curl cream has humectants in it...nope it is an anti-humectant! YES!! I then looked at the article on dew points and realised I did everything that it said to do by chance!

For me I think it's so high because we have a random cold spell right now.
Then the summers are more like 12C dews
    2C, fine dunno about porosity
    Routine:
    Jason shampoo/conditioner. (The seaweed one...)
Sometimes a random gel in the house - it's the kinda that goes sticky in soggy conditions...
