Now that your hair is silver...do the "right" products matter as much?

Lately I have had some issues with an allergic reaction impacting the underside of my eye lids. In a (probably futile) attempt to find out what the offender is, I have varied my routine and eliminated some things for a day or two. I am finding that it seems to make little difference in how my hair turns out. I wonder if this is because silver hair is supposedly "hollow"..or if its just because it is winter in Wisconsin and the humidity is low...any thought?

My hair has never been super fussy but there were and are things that really make it freak out. But a minor change in products doesn't make a big different in how it looks usually.
--I'm located in Western PA.   --I found NC in late 2004, CG since February 2005, joined the forums in May 2005, started going grey in late 2005.   --My hair is 3B with some 3A, currently at mid back length when dry,  texture-medium/fine, porosity-top is low, middle is medium, ends are porous, elasticity-normal.   --My long time favorite products are Suave & VO5 conditioners, LA Looks Sport Gel, coconut oil, honey, vinegar.

What makes your hair freak, Jeepy?

My hair doesn't like certain things and will act up if I use them. Like too much glycerine, too many oils, silicones. But the one thing that will make my hair completely freak out is shampoo of any kind.

Sorry about the allergic reaction. I've been itching a lot lately, scalp, eyes, basically all over. Hoping it's not the Deva Products, which I just started using again, embracing my curls again.

I think it might be the dry heat, cold weather. I am in central MN, so ya, I know what your weather is like!
