Now that your hair is silver...do the "right" products matter as much?

in Going Gray
Lately I have had some issues with an allergic reaction impacting the underside of my eye lids. In a (probably futile) attempt to find out what the offender is, I have varied my routine and eliminated some things for a day or two. I am finding that it seems to make little difference in how my hair turns out. I wonder if this is because silver hair is supposedly "hollow"..or if its just because it is winter in Wisconsin and the humidity is low...any thought?

Sorry about the allergic reaction. I've been itching a lot lately, scalp, eyes, basically all over. Hoping it's not the Deva Products, which I just started using again, embracing my curls again.
I think it might be the dry heat, cold weather. I am in central MN, so ya, I know what your weather is like!
