Indigo or green with gray. What do u think?

I've been going gray since my late 20's thus I'm really tired of coloring my roots brown.
I'm now in my 40s and really considering transitioning to grey......yet I'm also attracted to the idea of mixing that grey w/either indigo or light green highlights......even violet might work. I've checked out some images and I rather like the look! Any one gone this route? Also any referrals to salons/colorists in NYC area that may be able to pull it off?

Definitely the indigo, can't imagine green looking right at all!

I have been using henna+indigo treatment for a few months now. I use indigo from The Henna Guys. But I have started to develop dark patches on my face over these months - starting closest to scalp and moving toward my mouth area. I have stopped using Indigo. anyone else had anything like this happen?
