Coarse hair and PT treatments?

It occurred to me after I watched a Youtube video yesterday on the Aphogee products that I've never attempted a protein treatment.

Can coarse hair ever benefit from a protein treatment or is it just a bad idea altogether? I've tried to figure this out from Google. However, I haven't found a direct answer. Is there a point where some protein may be better?

I'd depends. I have course hair and PT's work wonderfully on my hair. Try one, and see how it goes. I recommend making a homemade PT first so you do waste any money.
I like using coconut milk and honey or oil. But do whatever you prefer.
