Finer texture in back of twistout?

So the texture in the back of my head is finer and looser than the rest.
I typically put three twists in the section when I do twist outs and have a awkward space in between my hair and neck.
Anyone has this issue?

My hair is way much loser in the nape too which is a pain in terms of shape. I used to cut it but now I tend to roll those twists on tight perm rods to dry.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:

I never even thought to do that!
When you say cut it, you mean like shape it?
I'm thinking about getting a shape up for my hair again since my tapered cut.

I have cut my nape short several times so it would blend better with my tighter curls and not look like a shag. But I found creating the illusion of a tighter curls works well for me.
