Curly Pixies

I've noticed there isn't much information here for curly pixie cuts!
Anyone have one? Have photos?
How has your hair maintenance changed? How do you style it? Do you ever straighten the pixie? With or without heat? Tell me more! :icescream:

A little about me and my hair..
Before my hair was damaged by a hair stylist who got platinum white/blonde happy after I asked her for dark blonde hair :), it was a lovely 3c curl pattern.

After heat damage and chemical damage, I have already begun cutting my hair shorter. First to a long bob, and right now it's a cropped cut to my chin. I love it! I've been wearing it straight because I still have a mixed pattern right now - dense at my roots and thin and straight/wavy mid length to my ends.

I'm going to cut it into a pixie style and would love a style that I can wear curly OR be able to straighten it.. without heat. I found some ladies that wrap their hair with foam and it works well for them.

Yes at first I was a curly pixie then as I started wearing my hair naturally curly I learned that they are referred as TWA or Teeny Weenie Afro. Im a 3c baby fine soft curly so the learning curve me has been difficult product wise. My hair loves steam and moisture but not too much because then I get the jerri curl look...no comment

I don't know how to post pics or attach. Still learning

Creams work best . Gels are a work in process. loving Cantu curl gel at the moment.

Spiderlashes5000, The thing is, there is a difference to TWAs and pixie cuts. I am looking for the straightened wispyier versions that I haven't seen in TWA hairstyles..

like Shannyn Sossamon's pixie cut.. I can't post any links or pictures to it yet.

Heathermom0927, Your hair looks really cute in the photos! I love it! What has been the biggest lesson for you and your cut?

The reason I referred to them as pixie cuts is because there is a difference in styling! The pixie cuts I'm interested in is a much different style than you typically see TWAs in.

Thanks so much ! Biggest lesson don't give in to curl envy. I swear I set myself up with products and how I think they will work....sigh well my hair is her own person. This year for me is about acceptance and finding what works for me and this mop on my head. I do prefer my hair short tho.
