Was born curly and hated it since I knew how to talk--no one understood how to work with it! Got it Japanese straightened in 2002 and it totally changed my curls. Then I met more people who really had good products and now I'm able to manage and work with it--of course with the cheapest products cause with this much hair, I can't spend a lot 
Of course, I love just putting it up in a messy bun--either right out of the shower when I can make it look "done" or after a day of it dry and then doing the perfect "nest".
In terms of products, I use "La Bella Lots of Curls Styling Gel, Extra Hold #8" Its pink and I've really only found it at Walgreens. I use LOTS of it, and then
"Tres Emme, Tres 2 Extra Hold Hair Spray" very generously on top of it.
Thoughts?
Oh ya, I'm a 3b/c, thick brown/auburn long hair!
