Hey everyone!

I've already struggled with big puffy curly/ wavy hair and I've always tried products and treatments to try to get it to lay flat. I've recectly decided to cut my hair short and go all natural! No heat! No harsh shampoos! I am still using styling products on my hair but I am now checking the back of the bottles! Any tips for my type of hair? also am I a 2c or or a 3a??
I've attached my hair before and after my hair cut! thanks guys!

You want to make sure you don't but a brush in your hair, fingers or comb only to detangle and only when it has conditioner in it! Instead of drying with a towel try a all cotton tee shirt as it will cause less damage than a normal towel. Try not to touch you hair has it dries as it causes frizz. Some people to keep frizz down rinse out their hair with cold water and then put oil on their hair to lock in moisture.
Your hair looks a little dry, you could try some deep conditioners to get moisture back into it. Also you could try a harder hold. People rave about LA looks sports gels that are cheap at walmart. Or you could use herbal essance totally twisted gel that has a water-soluble cone!
Sorry if that's a lot 😶

Some products have water soule cones which are okay to use...I don't remember them all but I know if it starts with a PEG is water soluable.
There is also higher end products, but I haven't used those as I can't afford them.

Most people here do use a leave in, and it's all up to preferences! I can use the suave naturals as a rinse out and a leave in, or you can look for something that is just a leave in. I know people like as I am leave in, kinky curly knot today, or others that are on the market. With weighing down the hair you'll just have to do trial an error. Start of with less and if your hair needs more next time you use it add a little more (:

. Aveeno active natirals leave in treatment .
Aveeno Active Naturals Nourish + Condition Leave-In Treatment, 5.2 fl oz - Walmart.com
I totally understand the price range problems, I just can't will myself to buy a $25 product for 8 ounces that might not even work!
EDIT: jusy realized that the leave in you linked to has amodimethicone which is a silicone. It's pretty far on the list so there's not a ton of it. This cone can be removed with less harsh shampoos that have coco - bentine as their cleaning agents.
