What could be causing my hair to get dry?

I think I might be protein sensitive, but I'm not sure. I have tried V05 strawberry moisture milk and Suave naturals coconut conditioner, which make my hair super dry and give no slip whatsoever. I thought it might be the protein in both, but I compared it to a conditioner I like, Burt's Bees more moisture with baobab, and that has protein too. What could be causing this problem if it's not protein?

It might be the alcohol in the products possibly i notice that a lot of products with it make my hair bone dry and brittle after it's finished drying even after i put sone oil and usually end up piling on moisturizer.
