Silk Wrap on 4a?

angelmilkangelmilk Registered Users Posts: 3
Has anyone successfully done the silk wrap on 4 type hair? You know when you rollerset then wrap in plastic wrap under the dryer? I tried yesterday and it was an utter fail. my results looked like a sticky bad blow out. Sticky because of ORS olive oil foam wrap (never buy this).
Anyway any tips for next time are GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I have never done it but I saw it on yt from a lady that is 4a 3c. She rollerset making sure she smooth through real good root to tip. then once dry she used Paul Mitchell serum then wrapped her hair. I will try to find the video.

I really want to try but I find it hard to make sure all my hair, from root to tip ,is smooth, my hair does not like to be smooth lol
    Products I use:
Shampoo: SM JBCO shampoo/ ACV rinses
    Cowash: Taliah Waajad Creamy Cowash
Conditioner: Giovanni 50:50/ Giovanni Tea Tree
Leave-in: CJ Curl Assurance/ SM Strengthening Milk
Deep conditioner: EVA Nye/ ORS Hair Mayo
Oils: Apricot oil/ Avocado oil/ Coconut oil

    Current (working on) Regimen:
    ACV rinses once a month
SLS shampoo and deep condition once a week
    Protein treatment: 2x a month
    Cowash midweek
    Leave-in + oil everyday

For me the key is after major detangling going through with a rattail root to tip. I'm too lazy so I rarely rollerset anymore. Plus I'm likely to wash it out in a few days.
