My bottle of Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee just arrived! How do you recommend using it with Kinky Curly Custard? On top, I presume? When it is still wet, or when hair is dry? Thanks! :)

PS: FYI, smaster's method doesn't work for me; i dry under a softhood. :)
-2b/2c fine hair, easily weighed down

Currently using:

RO: Deva One Condition

Many use it on top, and I think some people mix it. I haven't been able to make KCCC work for me; I just use BRHG on its own. Again, many people use BRHG on soaking wet hair, but I usually apply it on quite damp (not soaking) hair. BRHG is quite sticky and thick, so the drier the hair, the stickier it is to put on.

I tried today KCCC (scrunched in, not raked), then scrunching brhg on top. Hair was okay, but not FABulous. It kinda poofed a bit. I might try raking in some LA Looks Sports underneath it all tomorrow, but that seems like an awful lot of gel, and I don't want to weigh my hair down. That, or I could try raking in the KCCC instead of scrunching. Thoughts?

I've never used BRHG, but I'm currently using KCCC (on it's own) and I love it.

Maybe you could mix the two together in your hand? I don't know if it would make much of a difference, but it's worth a shot.

I dilute the BRHG in my hands with water so it spreads better. Don't know if that helps?

I usually comb my leave in into the hair to create the clumps, smooth kccc down the clumps with the palms of my hands, then apply brhg by scrunching up from the ends. Then I plop in a flour sack towel for ten or fifteen minutes before diffusing. The smoothing helps to distribute product through the hair so it won't poof up after I scrunch out the crunch.
