Yall I need HELP! I have 4c Natural Hair and I have beenone year natural.[/B][/B] I recently flat iron my hair for the first time and when I tried to revert my curls weird stuff happened lol. I used a deep conditioner and my left side and roots reverted back...Some of my ends reverted back too; but the middle is still straight. Also after I rinsed the deep conditioner out, I noticed by curl patterned changed to like a 3c and my hair is thinner :-/ I just want my afro back! Any tips? Advice? Product suggestions? ‪#‎HELP‬!!!!

I would think conditioning your hair more would help. Since your hair was affected by one use of a flat iron, I think it may be fine, making it more prone to heat damage and more in need of protein treatments. Give it some time. Also your flat iron temperature may be too high. You may want to consider roller sets in the future.

I agree with trying regular protein treatments. Hopefully it will help but you may have to transition. Also not sure what kind of flat iron you have but never use one without a temperature monitor. Like MC said fine hair is more prone to heat damage and my mom had straight pieaces after going to a salon to have hers pressed. Mine in fine and I don:t do flat irons because I had heat damed I had to get cut off when I was relaxed. If you want straight you might consider rollerset then wrapping your hair.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:
