Do you think women with type 4b/4c hair(that isn't long) tend to have an attitude?

in Hair Type 4
I'm specifically speaking about BLACK AMERICAN WOMEN UNDER THE AGE OF 40 with this type of hair. (i'm black american too btw)
Now I have this hair texture, and it is long. But from my personal experiences I've only met a few young natural sistas with my hair texture that didn't have an attitude. I've noticed that this new trend of naturals seem to be doing it as a "fad" or "trend" or because they have no other choice(chemical damage or weave damage). They don't seem to embrace their hair the way the older black sistas do.
And when I say attitude, I mean the attitude of 'low self esteem" or jealous of every female that walks by or complaining about a sista having a weave or relaxed hair (as if she wished she had it).
I mean it's ridiculous. At first I was happy about the new movement, but these young women are not sincere to me at all. I love my 4b/4c natural hair, been natural for over a decade and yes(before the fad) i was teased as a kid(I was an 80s kid teased usually by other girls in high school and junior high because I had longer hair so I assume it was jealousy) about it and didn't care. Now that it seems to be a "fad" these girls seem to not really be sincere about embracing their natural hair. Honestly I think many are going natural just to see if their hair is not a 4b/4c texture.
It's really sad so much hatred among black americans (this includes Caribbeans, south american continent, and the continent of north america), I know it's due to white supremacy, but one way to start combating that mentality is to start with the children.

I have been natural 7 years so no fad here. In high school my hair wasn't very long but a lot of the girls were crazy jealous of me. I hated hs. I refuse to go to any reunions.
hmm that is interesting. But Im mostly talking current tense (since the new movement) not past.
In the past I was the only one natural in some cases before the "movement". I can't judge between the naturals and non-naturals because of that. And I did say I was teased in the past.
ok well in more recent movement times I have not noticed any attitude towards me from 4bc women long or short hair. That being said I don't have that hair type.
My teasing was past too.I was teased a lot about my hair in high school and I wasn't natural. I didn't know how to care for it plus I now know my hair hates chemicals. . People talked all kinds of trash about my hair to my face and behind my back. A boy would sing the Just For Me song to me. I was told to go to some salon. Someone came back and told me a so called friend had told people she wouldn't vote for me for student council because I was nappy headed. They were mostly some hateful sobs which is why to this stay I don't f with most of them.
That is so sad. Yea I can't even count the number of times people told me to relax my hair in those days. I remember the worst was this older woman. She had the nerve to think she was complimenting me by saying "you have such good hair why don't you relax it." And this was a GROWN WOMAN saying this, mind you i was a pre-teen at the time so yea...So the kids were getting it from somewhere
Ive never experienced negativity with the new movement, at least not from a fellow natural. I will say that Ive felt some shade from a few natural friends in which they hinted for me to cut my hair. I just assumed they were envious of my length. I dont want to cut my hair i will just keep growing out and trimming but not no big chop or anything like that. Ive had my hair short b4 back when it was relaxed. I dont mind a short styled wig or weave but I like my natural hair to be long. Everyone has what they like.
I dont know why some curlies or non curlies act so hateful and negative though. I love to see more natural hair, its just a beautiful movement and I hope not a fad. :nike::toothy7:
But, for the most part (like 99% of the time, lol), other naturals with 4b/c hair I encounter are attitude free.
I don't hair type as it's useless to me. It's destructive because it limits and ignores that everyone's hair is different. It doesn't take into things that actually matter such as porosity, density and stranded thickness. I've been around people saying that they've seen 4c hair that "looks like you can actually do something to it " as if other textures can't have styling issues when not moosturized property. It's sickening. If anything, there should be a focus on properly hydrating the hair. Afro hair doesn't mean unhydrated. I've seen gorgeous undefined fros out there with type 4's, just have to make sure it's moisturized.
Yeah I have noticed an attitude towards 4a on the Internet although not in real life. I had NEVER in my life been told I had "good hair" until someone somewhere decided 4a was good and therefore not kinky. 4a is still 4. I have to remind them that definite curl pattern or not most of my hair is still kinky with extreme shrinkage. While a wash and go will look good for me it's typically more tangles than it's worth. People just go by the result of someone's hard work and assume they had an easy trip getting there. I will say I do also see black women with looser textures on YT comments bragging about how they don't have nappy hair with a superiority attitude. But this is mostly the English language videos. The Spanish and Portugese ones I watch have a totally different vibe. More supportive and less griping.
Its so idiotic and yes very destructive. With so much diversity in life there is always going to be that factor of, "well out of this group of something, this is the best..."
for example: A is the best color eyes to have and B is the best skin tone that one can have. More people should aspire to have D noses not C type nose; C type nose is at the bottom of the barrel; if you have C type nose fix it or kill yourself off.
Its a mad world we live in....Self love is sooooo important yikes!
I am not 100% black, I am native American, British, and Asian.

Why do you consider BGLH to be racist? I think some of the people posting are racist but I don't think the site is.

I don't know, maybe overall young adult women are more aggressive in general than their previous contemporaries.. But, I haven't noticed young adult women with shorter hair types being any more ,aggressive, than anyone else...
Do you mean in general or when they were being asked about their hair?? Everyone that I have seen with natural hair short or long in a younger adult demographic(say 21-29) has been really nice and upfront about sharing information about their hair journey and regimen, etc... But, maybe some people get sensitive when asked about their hair and it comes off as aggressive?

Welcome to natural hair. I agree with meet haters with love.
I haven't personally seen anyone say anything negative about short haired naturals but I don't doubt it. It irks me how some people assume if someone has short hair they're newly natural or have problems growing their hair. Most of my family is natural. Some have been most if not all their lives. I have some relatives as well as some friends who just PREFER short natural hair because it's less maintenance for them. Even some of my cousins who are relaxed are opting for shorter cuts nowadays. Not everyone likes or wants long hair. I was talking to a friend recently and we both agreed we like having short hair and we like having long hair but we hate in between hair so that's why we're reluctant to chop.
