I got my products...now what???

I went to Sally's, Ulta, and Target today and picked up new products to begin CG with.

There's are the products I got: Kinky Curly Come Clean Shampoo, As I Am Coconut Cowash, Tresemme Undone Conditioner, Kinky Curly Knot Today Leave-In, Ion Intensive Therapy Reconstructed Protein Rebuilder, AG Recoil, Tresemme Undone Sea Foam, and Garnier Fructose Pure Clean Gel. I got more than I intended to and of course spent more money than I should have but oh well!

I'm a little confused though. I plan to alternate between washing with the Kinky Curly Come Clean Shampoo and cowashing with the As I am Coconut Cowash. My question is for my first wash should I start with the shampoo instead of the cowash? Or should I do both? I plan to follow with the Tresemme Undone Condition as a rinse out and Kinky Curly Knot Today as a leave-in. Also do I need to do the protein treatment the first washing or not? And if I do, do I still do the rinse out conditioner and the leave-in as well? And should the protein treatment be last or before the leave-in?

You should do one last sulfate wash. Then you use the Co-wash unless you start to feel too weighed down that's when you can use the Come Clean.

If you haven't done a protein treatment try the IEC like an RO. See how your hair feels when you rinse it out. Sometimes I need to follow with the TPU sometimes not. Be very sparing with the KCKT at first it's pretty slickers. It might be all you need after the IEC. Try either one of the styling products with the gel on top.

Thanks for the reply! Do I do a sulfate wash and then cowash all in one washing or do I sulfate wash and then the next time I wash cowash? And what is TPU? And I assume IEC is the Ion Protein treatment I got?

And I didn't understand your last comment "Oh and the protein treatment (this one at least) info after washing always."

No not all at once. Just as a "set up". Next time co-wash. See how it goes.

And I meant If I'm doing protein treatment it is after a wash. Not after leave in.

Thank you for being so helpful! I just have one more question...should I go ahead and do the protein treatment after the sulfate wash or wait?

I personally didn't get all my products at once. What I did was begin cowashing with Suave Rosemary Mint. Didn't do any other "curly" thing for a while because my hair wasn't super curly at the time. After a while, though, because my hair was getting to be in such good condition, my curls began to really come out. Later on I added more products which you will find that is a "trial and error" type thing; everybody is different and some things will work for you and other things won't. But I would do a clarifying wash first and then start cowashing regularly. Then start deciding what else you're going to do. Good luck. :)

I'm definitely a "curly" 2c. Sometimes curly and sometimes just wavy upper layer with a ringlety under layer. My hair has been thick and coarse since birth. Strawberry blonde in color that can and does change depending on the type and amount of light.

All in all, I'm happy with my hair type but almost for sure think yours is prettier. :)
