So I was complementing this guy who had popping small coils
I asked what he did to it and he said he just puts water on it
It so define though.
I think about some of the routines I look at and wonder if less really is enough.

This made me giggle and think men seem to have simple routines about a lot of things. Maybe they are just simple.

Sorry - I'm really not a man hater, just feeling evil. ;-)
    2/c Coarse hair med. density.
    Highly porous. Color over grey.
I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....

Men also don't always give the full story. Maybe that day he just put water on it. Does he never wash his hair ever in life? I bet he does a little more to it. But yes, they do have much simpler routines a lot of the time. I wish I could just throw some conditioner in and go.
    2c-3a - med-coarse - normal-high porosity - high density

Depends on the guy. Some spend lot of time primping, more than a woman. use lots of hair product, brush a lot and use doorags to create waves. As a matter of fact I know a lot of black men who get a hair cut every week. I don't consider making that many trips to a babershop to be a simple routine.

also a very old technique is "grease and water" method. My great grandma had very long curly hair and would wet her hair, put a small amount of of grease and call it a day.

just had to add this -- i was at whole foods this morning and the cashier, a young man probably in his early 20s, said he liked my hair, then went on to say our hair was similar. well, he had it parted on the side and longish, just below his ears, so shorter than mine... but the point is he was leaving it to curl.
then he asked me what products i use!! i immediately thought of this thread. i kept it simple, just said curl junkie conditioners and gel, but he listened closely and repeated it.......

    3a, some 2c & 3b, medium texture, porosity normal, low elasticity :-(

I saw this guy with beautiful blonde 3cish curls. I complimented him and asked him what he uses. He said "uh, somebody's daughter".

There was another guy sitting next him and he was like "Somebody's daughter?!" I laughed and said he probably meant Carol's Daughter and I fortunately am familiar with the product and don't think he's a weirdo. lol:toothy4:
