I can't find any topics on this subject (I rarely have luck with the search function here).
Tell me what your favorite lighted makeup mirror is.
Magnification? LED? Cordless?

I have a wee lighted Tweezerman that works wonders with my perpetually shaky eyebrow efforts. Non-electric, it operates with a tiny side bulb. I like it.

(I do remember the giant foldout Conair lighted mirrors of my childhood, however. There was morning, mid-day, and evening lighting available. Everybody older than I was had one, and I really, really wanted my own.)

Thanks! I have an old fold out one that I use every day! : ) I want something a bit smaller now, but not too small. I still want to be able to see my whole face at one time.

^I'm glad you posted! I knew someone had mentioned that brand but couldn't remember who. I have one on my Ebay watch list but wanted to make sure that was the right one. Thanks for the info.

I was wondering the same thing! And yes, it does have to be travel-size and fit in my medicine cabinet as I have no other place to put it where it would be handy, and yes, I do have to be able to pop it into my bag for a trip. I have a really old travel-size(5" diameter maybe?)one that's totally falling apart that is regular on one side, 5x on the other, that was really cheap at Sally Beauty Supply. I went back on several occasions in the last year to try to replace it, and guess what, they don't MAKE it any more! They only have the ones with 3x on the magnifying side which is not enough for me but 5x was nice. I've looked high and low for this and I cannot find, anywhere. Not online, not at Sally's, not at Bed Bath&Beyond, not at drugstores. As far as other magnifying mirrors, they're either too bulky, or way way too strong(like 10-15x) But if I HAVE to go with 10x(and I'd really prefer if it had a regular side too) I will. Again, HAS to be travel-sized, but at the same time that I can see my whole face, not just part of it. I know this is long, but I've been really frustrated and have had to hang on to a falling apart mirror:( Thanks for listening!:

I ended up ordering this Zadro 1x/5x cordless LED. I like putting my face on using a 5x and then checking it overall with the 1x side.

I wish there were more 5x but I found that extremely hard to find. You might like this one. Zadro™ 1X/10X LED Lighted Compact Magnification Mirror with Flashlight - BedBathandBeyond.com

I got my mirror and have been using it for a few days and really like it. A nice clear image, a smaller footprint on my makeup table, and much prettier than the old one. Thanks for the recs!

I really appreciate people's suggestions, but I'm REALLY fussy about the mirror, and it has to be REALLY simple, as in, no bulky stand, and no lighting in it. It really has to fold flat, and yet has to be large enough so I can at least sort of see my whole face. My old mirror is perfect in this respect, but it's so falling apart that I really don't know how much longer it's going to hold up. It does seem that anything with 5x magnification is getting WAY harder to find. Still looking.
