3B with bangs or pulled back, pics please

I have 3B curls and have decided to embrace them....finally. Problem is I don't look good without bangs and I can't stand my hair touching my neck or the sides of my face (plus I work in healthcare and we have to pull our hair back for work). When my hair was long I always wore it in a ponytail, but don't know how to make it look good in a ponytail now that I've decided to embrace the curls. Right now it's layered, longest length is about to the middle of my back when straight and wet, shoulder length when curly and dry, and I have been using a head band every day. I need ideas for pulling it back with bangs or cutting it short.

I love this cut, but not sure I'm ready to cut it that short just yet.

How far back does your hair have to be? I pin back the sides with bobby pins so it's out of my face.

That would be back far enough, I just don't know what to do with my bangs. I don't know if it would look dumb to have my bangs straighter, otherwise I have like 2 curls and that's it. I definitely need some sort of bang because I don't look good without any.

Any 3's using the Curl Enhancing Smoothie? I'm curious but wonder if it is too heavy for 3 type hair, generally.
    2/c Coarse hair med. density.
    Highly porous. Color over grey.
I love all the Curl Junkie products. Still experimenting with gels and curl creams. Still hoping for 2nd day hair....

Yep. I use it everyday on my 3a curls. I use it like a sealer, as it makes the curls curl like nothing else does. The amount for me, is key. I only use a pea size. Any more than that will make my hair (fine, porous) feel greasy, although my hair will devour it by the next day. Lol!

I personally use it like a rinse-out conditioner. I tried it the "normal" way but not only does it make my hair feel goopy but it also keeps it wet for hours and hours and hours. Using it like a leave it keeps it very conditioned, gives it some protein, and enhances the curl.

I always thought my hair was a 2C but it has been so curly lately it's more like a 3a or 3b. I have a FEW bangs, which I keep very short (in my profile pic the bangs are actually too long) and blow dry to the side. I also put a bit of my hair up into a "slide" style barrette every day that puts the curls on the back of my head but keeps all that hair from touching the sides of my face, which I also hate. I also do not look good without bangs.
