Detangling product for 3b hair?

Hey! Newbie here.

I've been meaning to replace my detangling product for a while now. At the moment, it's the Shea Moisture Curl and Style Milk in Coconut and Hibiscus (not a big fan of it), along with some Argan Magic hair oil for moisture, but I'm not sure where to start. I have thin 3b hair, so I assume something conditioning is in order, but light. Suggestions?

Actual conditioner is about as conditioning as it gets ;)

Do you mean detangling for before, during or after washing? If before, a lot of people detangle with oils like coconut oil and then leave it on as a pre shampoo (or 'pre-poo'). If during, obviously your normal conditioner you apply in the shower - just detangle with that in.

As for after, I'm of the belief that if you've detangled in the shower properly, you shouldn't need to detangle after the shower - you've already just done it.

I finger-detangle my hair in the shower with conditioner in it, rinse it out, then get out of the shower and rake my products through. Again, with my fingers. Works well for me, though I do understand curls aren't exactly 'one size fits all'.

Still, I do think that sometimes less is more with products. IMO, aside from shampoo and conditioner, a good gel and a leave-in conditioner is all you need.

I absolutely love the kinky curly knot today to detangle my 3a curls! If you decide to use it as a detangler I still suggest you to condition your curls afterwards, as it's not as moisturizing as a conditioner!

I love the curl and style milk, i know it detangles but its mainly a styling product. You may be using to much. Try a rinse out conditioner to detangle. My fav is Tresseme Naturals Radiant Volume or their new Perfectly Undone 😍

I really love Kinky Curly Knot today as both a detangler and a light leave in :) You could also try Tresseme Naturals Conditioner it is really moisturizing and works well for detangling. It has great slip!

I detangle with my rinse out before adding my leave in. I like CJ smoothing conditioner followed by smoothing lotion.
